Our fully trained German Shepherds are selected from an intimate breeding program we began over 30 years ago. The dogs entrusted to protect and serve your family come from a long line of competitive working animals with strong genetics, correct structure, in addition to having an exceptional overall disposition. Thirty-four years of experience guides DogMastery in selecting canines that have excelled in competitive training competitions but also retain the pack drive and clear demeanor for social contexts. After litter selection, our puppies are placed into our formal home and family protection program where daily interaction and exposure to real-life situations are an integral part of their development into adult working dogs.
We are fortunate to reside in a community that allows our dogs daily interaction with children and high-traffic retail zones which allow a comfortable human/canine interaction from the outset. We don’t attempt to take dogs that compete at elite levels and convert them to family dogs, but rather select household-compatible animals and educate them to protect. Our family dogs truly have a passion for the work but lying by your feet in front of the fire is also a favorite.
DogMastery offers other fully trained breeds such as the Giant Schnauzer, Labrador, Rottweiler and Doberman. We have formed formidable relationships with breeders who ethically follow their standard, not only in type but also by assuring the parents have cleared all the required health checks required by the breeds parent organization.

Jayla vom Mutigen Zwinger aka Ginger, is a substantial young female that would be a nice addition to any household. A very exuberant dog that is comfortable with all people and animals. She's very clear in the work and exhibits a nice balance of prey, play and hunt drive. Ginger is stable on all surfaces and comfortable in all high traffic retail areas, as well as social environments including the Airport, BART and Amtrak station.
A very capable female with the disposition to participate in all dog sports, SAR or simply as a loving family companion. She's extremely safe and non-reactive around toddlers and rides easily in the car. Ginger is currently excelling in our advanced obedience program and will obtain her CGC-A and CGC-U the second week of February. Her preliminary hip and elbow x-rays are free of any abnormalities and she is DM clear.
Her sire Excalibur vom Schloßsee is a male with impeccable character. He lives in a multi-family household and is a joy to be around. A dog who possesses all the drives you look for in our breed coupled with an exceptional disposition. The dam Yarina vom Prälatenwald has produced two very nice litters whose pups are in families with children and three individuals participating in IGP. Both parents are fully health tested and have obtained their obedience and temperament certifications.

Horus is a black and tan male with outstanding performance abilities and rock-solid temperament. He's a mature male that truly exhibits an excellent relationship with his/her handler. Even as an adolescent, he was very dependable and followed obedience command without question. He looks forward to activities such as ball play, swimming, hiking and power walking. This male has been raised in a family environment and is house broken. Kobe has completed the advanced obedience course that covers the following on/off-leash commands: sit, sit/stay, down, down/stay, heel and recall (come). He understands the following behavioral commands: wait, off, no begging (table manners) and your bed. He's also scheduled to complete our Home/Family Protection & POST Program this June 2024. Horus displays naturally protective instincts and exhibits the steadiness necessary to perform under volatile situations. He has been socialized and trained since 6 weeks of age.
Horus has obtained the highest level of temperament certification, the CGC, CGC-A and CGC-U, sanctioned by our parent organization the American Kennel Club. Below we have attached a link to these titles below so you can see what is required for certification. He has also obtained his obedience title the BH-VT which is sanctioned by our parent working organization the FCI.
His pedigree boasts many working champions with excellent health and genetics. Horus' hips, elbows and spine have been x-rayed and results show them to be free from any abnormalities.

Issa is 3 years old with OFA good Hips & OFA normal elbows. A very strong and stable female that excels in the work. All of Issa'a drives (pack, object, food, prey, defense and fight) are forward and clear. She lived downtown, in a big city, for the first 6 months of her life. This household also had cats and smaller dogs. A very stable girl that's housebroken, great with children and rides comfortably in the car.

Aliz is a large female with strong nerves, natural retrieving instincts, dark pigment and excellent structure. She has been raised in a family environment and is very stable in high-traffic retail areas. A confident female that rides comfortably in the vehicle, is neutral with other dogs (big and small) and who truly enjoys engaging with her handler. She is suitable for a single or multi-family household with children and other pets.
